Wise County Fire Marshal Chuck Beard said the bodies of a male and a female have been recovered from the debris of a travel trailer that burned early Thursday morning north of Alvord.

Their remains have been sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner for identification. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Departments from Alvord, Chico, Sunset and Decatur were dispatched to the 200 block of County Road 1695 at 12:49 a.m. The first units on scene reported a travel trailer fully engulfed and flames through the back part of a single-wide mobile home. Officials believe the fire started in the travel trailer and spread to the mobile home. The occupant of the mobile home, who is wheelchair-bound, was rescued by neighbors and suffered no serious injuries, according to Beard.
