Swimming: Rowden earns 2 wins at Dual

Decatur senior Katey Rowden won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly at the Grapevine Dual over the weekend.

Rowden won the freestyle in 25.68. She took first in the butterfly in 1:01.44.

Rowden joined Kate Grant, Emily Howdeshell and Allie Blevins on the 200 freestyle team that finished third. The same quartet was fourth in 2:13.41 in the 200 medley relay.

Blevins garnered second in the 500 freestyle in 5:45.14. She took fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:26.4.

Grant finished third in the 200 freestyle in 2:23.77. Caraline Cowdrey was seventh in the event i 2:31.2.

Cowdrey took seventh in the 100 backstroke in 1:17.5.

The boys 200 freestyle team of Colton Teter, Dylan Carter, Robert Davila and Ethan Miles finished second. Davila, Miles and Teter joined Trey Dale on the 200 medley squad that took sixth in 2:00.55.

Miles brought home third in the 100 backstroke, swimming 1:03.27. He took fifth in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.26.

Davila swam 1:00.05 for sixth in 100 freestyle. He took seventh in the 200 in 2:13.33.

Teter was seventh in the 50 freestyle in 25.97, and eighth in the 200 in 1:02.1.

Dale finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.47. Carter took eighth in 1:26.47.
