Swimming: Lady Eagles win 2 relays

The Decatur girls swim team booked five victories over the weekend at the 4A-and-under statewide meet in Keller.

Decatur finished fifth in the girls division.

Allie Blevins, Caraline Cowdrey, Kate Grant and Katey Rowden won the 200 and 400 relays. Rowden won the 50 freestyle in 25.11 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.14.

Blevins took first in the 500 in 5:44.63 and third in 200 freestyle in 2:09.92.

Grant finished third in the 100 backstroke in 1:10.13. Cowdrey grabbed fifth in the 100 in 1:06.83 and ninth in the 100 backstroke in 1:16.82.

Marissa Ledford swam 1:08.73 for 10th in the 100.

The Decatur boys finished fourth at the meet. Colton Teter, Robert Davila, Trey Dale and Ethan Miles claimed second in the 200 relay and took third in the 400.

Miles took second in the 50 in 23.5 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.23.

Teter garnered third in the 100 in 55.25 and ninth in the 50 in 24.57.

Dale took third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.05 and 12th in the 50 freestyle in 26.33.

Davila finished fourth in the 200 freestyle in 2:08.61 and ninth in the 100 in 58.17.

Dylan Carter was 11th in the 100 freestyle in 1:00.28 and 15th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.19. Travis Young finished 13th in the 100 backstroke in 1:34.51 and 16th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:29.51.
