{{{*}}}Kelton Dethloff of Paradise set a meet record and brought home the outstanding lifter award at the Graham Meet Saturday.

Dethloff won the 148-pound class, lifting a total of 1,210 pounds in the three lifts – squat, bench press and deadlift.

The Paradise boys finished third at the meet.

Taylor Edwards finished second among the 198-pound lifters after a bench press of 350 pounds.

Grayson Cobb was third among 148-pounders. Luke Miller took second in the super heavyweight class. Tanner Edwards finished sixth in the 275-pound division with a total of 1,065 pounds.

The Paradise girls brought home fifth.

Kailyn Carwile won the 123-pound class with a tally of 575. Deanna Walterscheid took second among 165s with a total of 665. Mikela Beck fought through injuries to get second in the 114-class with a total of 545.

“It was a great way to start off the year,” said Paradise coach Jonathan Ryle. “There is a lot of promise and expectations this year.”

EAGLES ROUT BOSWELL

Decatur Eagles soccer piled up five goals Friday in a 5-1 win over Boswell.

The Lady Eagles fell to Boswell 9-0.
