An Allison Rutledge walk-off double brought home Johnna Headley and lifted the Paradise Lady Panthers to a 9-8 victory over the Alvord Lady Bulldogs Tuesday.

Rutledge’s RBI double capped a three-run rally for the Lady Panthers in the bottom of the seventh and answered Alvord’s four runs in the top of the inning.

Shelby Lavigne drove in three runs for the Lady Panthers, going 2-for-4 with a double. Darla Walterscheid doubled and hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth.

For Alvord, Kaely Beaver went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. She drove in two runs on a double in the top of the seventh that tied the game at six. Regan Guthrie and Beaver later scored on Paradise errors to put Alvord up 8-6.

Reagan Taylor picked up the win after her team’s rally in the seventh. She struck out 13 and walked nine, allowing eight runs – five earned – on seven hits in seven innings of work.

Taylor Jamieson’s RBI single in the top of the seventh proved to be the game-winner Thursday as the Bridgeport Sissies held off Holliday for a 10-9 victory.

Jamieson’s hit to left scored Ryhan Read. It was part of a three-run inning for the Sissies.

Kelsey Turner went 3-for-3, doubled and drove in two runs for Bridgeport. Diana Garcia finished 3-for-4 with a double and RBI.

Catherine Totty held the Southlake Carroll Lady Dragons to a run on four hits over seven innings Tuesday in a 2-1 victory.

Totty struck out five and walked one as the Lady Texans moved to 3-1 in District 4-5A.

Carroll scored its lone run in the third off a pair of singles to take a 1-0 lead. That held up until Northwest plated a run in the sixth with Brianna Barnhill driving in Totty off a double to left-center field.

In the bottom of the seventh, Amanda Lockhart singled and came home with the winning run on a Carroll error.
