Softball Roundup: Lady Eagles score 28 in victory

The Decatur Lady Eagles won a wild game Friday in their last contest before the District 9-3A opener.

The Lady Eagles beat Nocona 28-20.

Kristina Pishotta drove in five runs with four hits. Alex Gabriel went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and scored six runs. Brittany Roberts finished with six hits and four RBIs.

Decatur took a 10-2 lead in the top of the second before Nocona came back with a seven-run bottom of the inning.

Nocona took a 20-17 lead with a nine-run fourth.

The Lady Eagles plated five in the fifth to regain the lead and added six in the sixth.

JACKSBORO 17, BRIDGEPORT 2

The Bridgeport Sissies dropped their final tuneup before the District 9-3A opener Friday.

Jacksboro took advantage of five Bridgeport errors and 10 walks in a 17-2 win.

Bridgeport managed only two runs on two hits. Tabby Rivera and Makayla Raymond had the Sissies’ two hits. Hailey Hollingsworth and Shiloh Weirich scored the two runs.
