Slidell 57, Midway 46

{{{*}}}The Slidell Greyhounds used a strong start and another big game from Isaac Davis to knock off Midway Tuesday.

Davis poured in 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made seven steals to lead the Greyhounds to a 57-46 win.

Tyler Maynard added 13 points and six assists. Colton Perkins finished with 11 points and six boards.

Slidell (19-6) moved to 4-1 in District 21-A Division II and remain a game behind Bellevue.

“It was a tough win on the road for us,” said Slidell coach Todd McCormick. “Both teams were tied for second going into the game.”

Slidell jumped on Midway early, taking a 15-8 lead in the first quarter. The Greyhounds led 29-22 at halftime. Slidell built the advantage to 45-35 going into the fourth.
