The Slidell Lady Greyhounds maintained a share of the District 21-A Division II lead Friday with a 47-28 victory over Prairie Valley.
After a sluggish first quarter, the Lady Greyhounds (11-6, 5-1) went on a 21-7 run in the second quarter to build a 35-13 lead.
“We didn’t execute the game plan early, but once we settled in we did a nice job,” said Slidell coach Cody Vanover. “We still have a lot of work to do in the second half of district to get where we want to be.”
Caitlin Pruett paced Slidell with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Kylie Franklin added 13 points, four assists and three steals.
Kayler Talamantes chipped in four points and grabbed a career-best 10 boards. Marisol Millan added two points and nine rebounds with four steals.
