Petrolia sinks Lady Eagles

With their top pitcher Kelsey Roberts unavailable, the Decatur Lady Eagles struggled to slow down Petrolia Tuesday.

Petrolia scored 13 runs in the third on the way to a 17-4 victory at Decatur’s Lady Eagle Field.

Petrolia took advantage of nine errors and five walks by the Lady Eagles.

Coty Chase drove in four runs, going 3-for-4 for Petrolia. She doubled and singled in the 13-run third in which Petrolia sent 18 batters to the plate.

Kristina Pishotta led the Decatur offense, going 2-for-3. She tripled as part of a three-run third for the Lady Eagles.

Brianna Carter brought home Decatur’s first run, doubling in Pishotta in the first inning.
