Nine Texans ink letters

After helping the Northwest Texans to an 8-3 season, nine seniors inked college letters of intent Wednesday.

Three players – lineman Kris Key, defensive lineman Joe Gonzales and running back Dennis Adrole – signed with Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Adrole led the Texans in rushing with 755 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Wide receiver Chase Morrison and linebacker Duke Kicinski inked letters with West Texas A&M. Morrison rushed for 148 yards and made 62 receptions for 843 yards and nine touchdowns. Kicinski was in on 125 tackles and made three sacks.

Defensive back Sam Jennings is headed to Southern Nazarene University. Offensive lineman Jacob Jennings is going to Wayland Baptist. Navarro College landed offensive lineman Brandon Niccum.
