Lady Texans fall at home

The Northwest Lady Texans never rallied from a slow start Tuesday.

The Lady Texans managed only six points in the opening frame, falling behind 18-16 in an eventual 59-34 setback against visiting Keller.

The loss dropped Northwest to 2-6 in District 4-5A. The Lady Texans remain a game back of Haltom and Fossil Ridge for fourth place in the league.

The Lady Texans shot 34 percent from the field, but managed only 34 shots due to 21 turnovers.

Keller built a 35-16 halftime lead and held a 47-29 lead going into the fourth.

Bailey Porter led the Lady Texans with nine points. Alexus Brigham chipped in six points.

Northwest took on Keller Fossil Ridge Friday.
