Decatur’s Rowden takes 100 at OKC

Katey Rowden headed north and brought home first place in the 100-meter freestyle at the American Energy Swim Club Summer Splash at Oklahoma City Community College June 27-29.

Rowden swam 1:03.15 in the long-course race in the girls 15-16 division. It was one of seven events the Decatur senior competed in at the meet.

She took third in the 50 butterfly in 31.69 and fourth in the 100 butterfly in 1:13.31. Rowden finished fifth in the 50 freestyle in 30.13 and 400 in 5:02.39. She was seventh in the 100 backstroke in 1:20.46 and 50 breaststroke in 43.59.

Allie Blevins finished third in the 15-16 1500 freestyle in 21:22.49. She took seventh in the 50 backstroke in 39.93.

Ethan Miles took fifth in the 15-16 50 backstroke in 34.72. He was seventh in the 50 butterfly in 31 seconds.

Bryson Gardner swam 3:23.95 to finish fourth in the 11-12 200 freestyle. He took fifth in 100 backstroke in 1:52.33. He was sixth in the 50 backstroke in 48.15 and 50 butterfly in 58.7. Gardner swam 39.51 for seventh in the 50 freestyle.

Zach Levesque was seventh in the 11-12 50 breaststroke in 50 seconds.

Milly Rowden finished fifth in the 11-12 butterfly in 1:33.98. She was seventh in the 400 freestyle in 5:55.96.
