Chico lifters take 4th

A pair of Chico lifters won their weight classes at Keller Timber Creek meet last weekend.

Chelsea Mast won the girls 220-pound class, and Armando Salinas captured the 123-pound boys division.

The Chico girls finished fourth with seven lifters posting top five finishes in their weight classes.

Corey Tate took second among 148s. Breann Hall and Charlye Biggerstaff brought home third-place finishes. Ana Rodriguez garnered a fourth, and Alli York a fifth.

The Chico boys finished fifth. Daniel Salinas finished second in the 123-class.

Decatur’s Destiny Whitworth took second in the girls super-heavyweight division, finishing one spot ahead of teammate Vannesa Martinez. Kirstin Nanny earned fourth among 132s.

Three Decatur boys posted top-five finishes. Jacob Ochoa and Marcos Morales finished fourth in their classes. Dawson Thompson was fifth.
