Bridgeport Sissies open district

By Clay Corbett | Published Wednesday, January 8, 2014

It was not a good start to league play for the Bridgeport Sissies Friday.

Bridgeport (12-5, 0-1) fell to the Krum Lady Cats, 66-30.

“Tonight was not the way we wanted to start district play,” Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor said. “Krum shot lights out, and we couldn’t get anything to fall.

“On the defensive end, we missed multiple assignments, and that resulted in easy baskets for Krum. We will have to recover quickly for our game with Decatur.”

Landrie Walsh led the scoring for the Sissies with nine. Leah Guinn added seven, and Gabby Mindieta tossed in six.

Diana Garcia added three.
