Bridgeport Bulls even record

By Clay Corbett | Published Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Bridgeport (10-10) took down Alvarado Monday in their final tune-up before district play.

The Bulls grabbed the win, 61-50.

“This is a great win for us, as we finish out our non-district schedule,” Bridgeport coach Alan Green said. “It was a very balanced win, scoring-wise, and our defense again gave them trouble.

“We did a fantastic job on the boards tonight limiting their second chance opportunities. All around a good win for us as we start our district season.”

Dalton Hudson led the way with 19. Alex Samples and Jacob Delangel each had 12.

Stephen Howdeshell came away with eight.

On Saturday the Bulls defeated Stephenville, 56-35.

Samples hit six 3-pointers on his way to 24 points. Howdeshell had 12, and Hudson scored 11.

Bridgeport opens league play Friday at Decatur.
