Baseball Roundup: Rebels beat Texans

The Richland Rebels pushed across six runs in the third and another five in the fourth on the way to a 16-5 win over the Northwest Texans in five innings Tuesday.

Four Northwest pitchers – Tristen DerMargosian, Bailey Dovel, Cameron Rhodes and Elijah Christenson – allowed 16 runs, including 10 earned, on 13 hits and gave up eight walks. Christenson had the only strikeout in his his two-thirds of hitless relief. He did walk three.

The Texans tallied six hits. Cayde Ward doubled twice and scored a pair of runs. Doger Gilliland went 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Northwest closed the season Friday at home against Keller Central.

MILLSAP 2, ALVORD 1

The Alvord Bulldogs dropped their final game of the season Tuesday to the Millsap Bulldogs 2-1.
