Baseball: Eagles tie twice

The Decatur Eagles earned a pair of ties Thursday against Springtown, 10-10, and Princeton, 6-6.

Decatur scored two in the fifth to tie the game at 10 against Springtown. Drew Edwards drove in three runs and doubled. Josh Jones added a pair of RBIs.

Against Princeton, the Eagles gave up five runs in the top of the fifth to fall behind 6-1. Decatur then plated five in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.

Edwards doubled and drove in two runs. Nick Trachta and AJ Johnson added a RBI each.


Tolar pushed across two runs in the sixth inning to edge Boyd 5-3 Tuesday.

Clay Barnett and Cameron Clark had two hits each for the Yellowjackets.

Sonny McCarmack tossed three innings, striking out five.


The Paradise Panthers scored twice in the bottom of the sixth Tuesday to knock off Calvary Christian Academy 5-4.

Caiden Berry drove home Austin Hogan for the winning run.

J.D. Pearson and Skylar Black collected doubles for the Panthers.

Dillon Meadows worked three innings, striking out seven.
