About 3 p.m. the owner of Terra Cotta Boutique and Coffee Shop noticed two women in her store acting suspicious.

“She then noticed some empty hangers and went to confront them,” said Bridgeport Sgt. Todd Low.

At this point at least one of the suspects allegedly assaulted the store clerk. They shoved the victim and slammed a door on her.

They then jumped into a vehicle outside the boutique located in the 900 block of Halsell Street. A man was driving the getaway car, which is described as a black, four-door passenger car with tinted windows.

At some point during the incident, one of the suspects dropped a device at the scene containing a smiling photo of her and the man driving the black car.

Police don’t know the identities of the suspects. They encourage anyone with information on the suspects or the crime to contact Low at 940-683-3430.

The victim suffered only minor injuries in the attack.
