It’s election time in the city of Runaway Bay.

At its meeting Tuesday, the council will consider approving an agreement with Bridgeport ISD to conduct a joint election.

The mayor’s post as well as two at-large seats on the council are up for grabs.

The incumbents – Mayor Robert Ryan, Kay Simmons and Neil Peters – have all filed to seek re-election.

Council members will also consider a bid on property in the 100 block of Runaway Bay Drive and the approval of sale on outdated/unused surplus equipment owned by the police department.

In routine business, the council will consider the January meeting minutes, financials, accounts payable, activity reports, code enforcement report, journal entries and racial profiling report from the police department.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 101 Runaway Bay Drive.
