By Messenger Staff | Published Saturday, August 16, 2014

Runaway Bay city officials will see a lot of each other this week as two meetings are scheduled back-to-back.

During its regular meeting Tuesday, the council will hold public hearings and possibly vote on ordinance regulating secondary buildings and two-car garages.

The public is invited to submit input.

Also during the meeting, the council will vote on amendments to the current budget and will review routine items – the July meeting minutes, financials, accounts payable, activity reports, journal entries and code enforcement report.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at City Hall, 101 Runaway Bay Drive.

The following morning, the council will convene again.

During a work session, they will discuss city ordinances and procedures as well as the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The council will also consider a proposed tax rate and set a date and time for public hearings on the matter.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. It will also be held at City Hall.
