Patients and prospective patients at North Texas Spine and Sport found the doors locked this week at 1851 Medical Center Drive in Decatur.

Posted on the door was an eviction notice.

Phones for the practice, which is owned by Chad Stephens, D.O., were answered with a recording which invited the caller to leave a message – but the voice mailbox was full.

Other physicians sharing the office had posted notices that they have moved and are now seeing patients in other locations.

Dr. Scott Hrnack, an orthopedic surgeon, is seeing patients at Wise Family Practice and Urgent Care, 800 Medical Center Drive. Dr. Saritha Dodla, a cardiologist, has moved her practice to 1713 S. FM 51, above the offices of Dr. Wade McKenna and Dr. Christian Helm.

Dr. Stephens also has offices in Keller and Graham, but neither of those offices could be reached by phone.

Robert Stapp, former practice manager for North Texas Spine and Sport, said Friday he has not been associated with the business for “more than a couple of months” and referred questions to Dr. Stephens, who could not be reached for comment.

North Texas Spine and Sport opened here in March 2010.
