Like her employees, Northwest ISD Superintendent Karen Rue will receive a 3-percent salary increase in the next school year’s budget.

At their meeting Monday, trustees approved “revisions” to the superintendent’s contract, which included the raise.

“As we went through the evaluation process we commended Dr. Rue and very much appreciate the job she has done,” Trustee Mark Schluter said.

Trustee Mel Fuller added: “We appreciate you for always looking for ways to grow the district and move us forward.”

Her annual base salary is $258,708, effective July 1.

In January, the board extended her contract through June 2018

She joined the district in 2005.

“Thank you very much for your vote of confidence,” Rue told the board.
