Five people were injured Sunday night after a two-car wreck on U.S. 81/287 in Decatur.

At around 6:15 p.m., two cars were traveling south on 287 near Kathy’s Shell station when the driver of the car in the right lane tried to merge into the left lane. That maneuver caused the other car to swerve, then flip and roll over the median into the northbound lane.
