By Messenger Staff | Published Saturday, May 31, 2014

The Decatur Police Department is seeking information on a couple of thefts in the city during the overnight hours Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Thieves broke into a fenced off area at the Decatur ISD maintenance office near McCarroll Middle School and stole a couple of push mowers and leaf blowers.

That same night, a welder was stolen from the Landmark Industrial Park. Police Chief Rex Hoskins said the two thefts are connected because a rake stolen from the school was found at Landmark.

Anyone with information on the two thefts should call the police department at 940-627-1500.
