The Decatur City Council Monday will consider two law enforcement grant applications for the police department.

The grants, which require matching funds, are to upgrade the video systems in city police vehicles and to fund a cooperative program between the police department and citizens.

The council will also consider a land lease agreement with Drew Bruton and Gene Lacoste to build an aircraft hangar at the Decatur Municipal Airport. Airport director Brad Burnett said the 4,900-square-foot hangar would be built on the northwest side of the airport near existing T-hangars.

Also on the agenda is a request from Amanda Lovette for street closings on behalf of CASA of Wise and Jack Counties for a 5K run on Saturday, May 17.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at Decatur City Hall, and the meeting is open to the public.
