BARBECUE FUNDRAISER – The Chico Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual barbecue supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Chico City Hall, 400 South Hovey St. Entertainment will be provided by the Buckner Band. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 12, and kids ages 5 and under eat free. The meal will include sliced brisket, chicken or smoked sausage, coleslaw, potato salad, beans, dessert and tea. Whole smoked briskets will also be available for purchase. Cost is $70. SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT – The Decatur Police Department and the Decatur Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association are accepting team registration and sponsorship forms for the 2nd Annual Back The Blue coed softball tournament to be held Saturday, June 28, at Renshaw Park in Decatur.
