BINGO AND STEAK – The Paradise Buyers Association’s bingo and steak dinner is Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Paradise High School Cafeteria. The meal, which includes steak, baked potato, beans, dinner roll, dessert and tea, will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m., and bingo is 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets for the meal are $12 at the door. PROJECT SHOW – The Paradise Project Show is Saturday, Jan. 11. Food and crafts will be exhibited at the elementary school cafeteria, and the livestock show will be at the project barn. NORTHWEST READS – The Northwest ISD Partners in Education program seeks volunteers for the sixth annual Northwest Reads 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23. Participants will choose from a variety of books to read to pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students at one of the school district’s 17 elementary schools.
