FINANCIAL AID NIGHT – All seniors and their parents are invited to Financial Aid Night 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Bridgeport High School library. Counselors will share information about FAFSA and the college financial aid process.

CHAMBER BANQUET – The Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce Casino Royale annual banquet is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Decatur Civic Center. There will be food, awards, casino games, live and silent auctions, live entertainment and a raffle, including the chance to win a trip to Las Vegas or $1,000 cash. Dress is Bridgeport casual. MOBILE HEALTH UNIT – Texas Health Wellness for Life will station a mobile health unit 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at 1009 Halsell St. in Bridgeport. Well-woman exams, mammograms and colon cancer screenings will be available. Services are free for those who meet certain criteria. Insurance will also be accepted. BOOK SALE – Decatur Public Library will host a used book sale during library hours today through Saturday. All proceeds go to the Decatur Library Foundation to benefit library programs and services. For more information, call 940-393-0290.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE – Decatur Junior Woman’s Club 8th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance, “One Enchanted Evening,” is 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Decatur Civic Center. Tickets will be available at the door.

NO FINES – Decatur Public Library offers Amnesty! now through Feb. 3. Return your long overdue library materials, and pay no fines. Simply bring a canned good for every $10 in value of library material along with the items. Fines will be forgiven, and Wise Area Relief Mission will benefit. RODEO TICKETS – Decatur Night at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is Saturday, Feb. 8. Tickets cost $25 and are available at the Decatur Chamber of Commerce. Payment must be by cash or check. For more information, call Misty Hudson at 940-627-3107.

YOUTH FAIR ENTRIES – Entries opened Jan. 6 for the 2014 Wise County Youth Fair, which is March 1-8. 4-H, FFA and FCCLA members have until 5 p.m. Saturday to enter online at Entry fees can be paid online with a credit or debit card or they can be mailed to Wise County Youth Fair, P.O. Box 1062, Decatur, TX 76234. Checks, money orders or cashier’s checks will be accepted. Do not send cash. All payments by mail must be received by the entry deadline (Feb. 1) and should include a printed entry receipt. If you need help entering the Youth Fair, contact your ag teacher, FCCLA sponsor or 4-H leader.
