Matilde Ufret

Matilde Ufret, 89, a retired home economics teacher, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Decatur.

Memorial will be held at a later date.

Matilde was born June 7, 1924, in San German, Puerto Rico, to Jose Monserrate Perdomo and Maria A. (Acevedo) Perdomo. She retired from teaching after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Octavio Ufret.

She is survived by her daughters, Sara Melear of Boyd and Carmen Davis of Euless; grandsons Roberto Arcelay of Lewisville, Javier Arcelay of Keller and Neely Davis of New Braunfels; granddaughters Rhonda Hester of Euless and Donna Davis of Euless; great-granddaughters Haven Davis of Fort Worth and Carly Hester of Euless; great-grandsons Kyle Hester of Las Colinas and Jayden Arcelay of Keller; great-great-granddaughter Aubrina Hester of Euless; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
