Joyce Nadine Howard

Joyce Nadine Howard, 85, of Chico died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at home.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery in Azle with Chad Geeslin officiating. Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport is handling arrangements.

Joyce was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Fort Worth to Hattie Lee Clendening and Roy Emmet Curry. She married Jessie Mack Howard Nov. 10, 1972, in Haslet. She was a bookkeeper for Riverside Glass and Mirror in Fort Worth for 50 years. Joyce enjoyed reading, working with flowers, fishing and most of all, her family. She was a member of the Wise County Cowboy Church.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Richard Geeslin and wife, Nancy, of Bowie and Ronald Geeslin and wife, Donna, of Chico; daughter Brenda Geeslin of Chico; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Geneva Pruitt of Azle, Ellen Lee and husband, Roy Vardeman, of Azle, Dolores McMillin and husband, Oran, of Saginaw, Sharon Blake of Roanoke and Beverly Sparks and husband, Rowland, of Azle; seven nieces; and 10 nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter Amy Geeslin; and brothers Roy Emmet Curry Jr. and Walter Benjamin Curry.
