James Edward Cooke, 80, of Oklahoma City died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Memorial service is noon Friday, June 27, at Springtown Cemetery.
James was born June 19, 1933, in Marysville, and he graduated from Boyd High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the former owner of a company that manufactured well heads and valves that were sold throughout the Middle East. After retirement, he worked at several other small jobs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Violet (Davison) Cooke; wife Frances Elizabeth (Barker) Cooke; son James William Cooke; and sisters Gloria Kemp and Jackie Morgan.
Survivors include his son, Bart Cooke and wife, Charyl, of Yukon, Okla.; daughter Samantha Cooke of Yukon, Okla.; brothers J.D. Cooke and wife, JoAnn, of Fort Worth, and LeRoy Cooke and wife, Sue, of Boyd; grandchildren Austin and Ashlyn Cooke, both of Yukon, Okla.; and numerous other relatives and dear friends.
