Helen Walton, 90, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Azle.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Azle Church of Christ with Ian Mostert officiating. Burial will follow at Azleland Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Pallbearers will be Monte Moore, Dwayne Simon, Tom Scarborough, Andy Watson, Cody Walton and Brad Walton.
Helen was born June 1, 1923, in Cleburne to Alva and Lena (Leck) Moore. She married Dennis Walton June 22, 1946, in Waco and was a member of the Church of Christ in Azle.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Norene Wachsmann, Gladine Brown and Edna Mae Page; brother A.C. Moore; grandson J.B. Walton; and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Walton.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Dennis Walton of Springtown; sons Jim Walton and wife, Candy, of Azle, Wayne Walton and wife, Cindy, of Colleyville, and Don Walton of Fort Worth; daughter Janis Walton Sonntag and husband, Michael, of Azle; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Lena Parnell of Waco, Mary Etta Johnson of North Carolina and Beth Grimland of Waco; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
