Gurtha Louise (Craft) Wilson, 87, of Decatur died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Decatur.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Gurtha Louise was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Copeville to Charles Bert and Ora Lee (Jackson) Craft. She lived her life as a loving caregiver. After raising her family in Fort Worth, she worked at nursing homes, children’s homes and in private care before retiring in Decatur in 2004 to be near family.
She is survived by daughters Melinda Feeler and husband, Leman, of Fort Worth, and Karen Currin and husband, Sid, of Decatur; son Alan Wilson and wife, Linda, of Burnet; grandchildren Walker Hale, Joseph Hale, Emery Currin, Erica Currin, Ciara Currin and Ethan Currin; great-grandchildren Everett Cisco, Jasmine Hale and Jadie Hale; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.
