Frances Cox, 86, of McKinney, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.
Funeral was Feb. 17 at Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth with burial at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Frances was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Bridgeport to Frank and Grace Still, the eighth child in a family of nine children. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother and an accomplished pianist and organist who served the Lord in several churches.
Frances was known for her intercessory prayer, encouraging words, caring personality and giving ways. She was a kind, sweet lady who will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, James Robert Cox; sons James Wayne Cox and wife, Merlene, of Groesbeck and the Rev. Robert Lyn Cox and wife, Rhonda, of Chico; grandchildren Angela Sommer, Melissa Klauss, Bobby Cox, Jamie Dunlap, Lori Cox and Bryan Cox; step-grandchildren Abby Teigland and Andrew Dixon; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Marie Grimes; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and lifelong friends.
