Floyd Lee Ford, 65, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Decatur.
Funeral was April 29 at White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, and burial followed at Newport Cemetery.
Floyd was born Jan. 2, 1949, in Newport to Foy and Janie (Hicks) Ford. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1967 and attended Ranger Junior College for two years. He was an avid bow hunter and enjoyed playing golf.
Floyd worked for several companies in Wise County, including Trinity Rock Crusher Co., Brazos Gas and Purvis Bearing. He was working for Targa Resources in Chico at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Foy and Janie Ford; son Floyd Alan Ford; brother Loyd Ford and sister Risa Black.
Survivors include daughters Amie Beltran and husband, Marcus, of Boyd, and Clairissa Ford of Fort Worth; fianc Michele Menetrier of Rhome; grandchildren Tyler Booker of Bellevue, Kaitlyn Myers of Fort Worth and Kyra, Kalynn, Camden, Jaden and Breden Beltran, all of Boyd; brother Wayne Ford and wife, Laura, of Burleson; sisters Carolyn Mayo and husband, Leonard, of Sunset; Janice Ford of Bowie; best friend Bill Conner of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
