Euna Vay Guinn died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Decatur at the age of 97.
Funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with Gerre Joiner officiating. Graveside service is at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Nate Gage, Luke Gage, Darren Guinn, Garret Guinn, Travis Taylor and Zane Lasater. Honorary pallbearers are Scotty Guinn, Will Gage, Shannon Hesteande and Trey Taylor.
Euna was born Nov. 7, 1916, in Lipan to Morris and Bertie (Dunaway) Smith. She retired from bookkeeping after more than 25 years of service.
She loved quilting and was a member of the Decatur Quilting Club. She was also an avid gardener and a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.
Euna was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Betty Guinn; her husband of 40 years, Dozier Guinn; sister Oleta Adcox; and brother Ledford Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Jerrell Guinn and wife, Gay, of Graham and Danny Guinn of Denton; daughter Treva Underhill and husband, Don, of Boyd; sister Nola Jean Hubbard of Mineral Wells; grandchildren Scotty Guinn, Dawne Burgin, Shanda Taylor, Will Gage, Shannon Hesteande, Stephanie Guinn and Rhonda Floyd; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many friends.
