Elsie Jean (Pace) Manoushagian

Elsie Jean (Pace) Manoushagian, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in Bridgeport.

Funeral was Jan. 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport with burial at East Bridgeport Cemetery under the direction of Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Pallbearers were Andrew Manoushagian, J.T. Manoushagian, Davis Manoushagian, Damon Wykrent, Russell Burran and Gerry Greer.

Jean was born April 2, 1928, in Wichita Falls. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School, she attended Oklahoma University and married Milton “M.L.” Manoushagian in Wichita Falls Jan. 24, 1948. They lived in Dallas and Wichita Falls before moving to Bridgeport in 1955.

She was a homemaker and past president of the Bridgeport Civic Club. She was also active in the band boosters and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jean enjoyed traveling, especially to New Mexico.

Survivors include her sons, Ralph Pace Manoushagian and wife, Melinda, and Kent Charles “Buck” Manoushagian and wife, Dana; grandchildren Andrew Manoushagian, Beth Wykrent and husband, Damon, J.T. Manoushagian and wife, Sandy, Davis Manoushagian and Madison Manoushagian; great-grandchildren Mylah Manoushagian, Greyson Manoushagian, Ellah Pace Manoushagian, Luke Wykrent and Molly Pace Wykrent.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport.
