Eddy Lee Grundy, 63, a mechanic, died Monday, May 19, 2014, in Decatur.
Graveside service was May 23 at Alvord Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Dimmitt officiating. Burial was under the direction of Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Trey Tow, Thomas Tow, Alan Campbell, Craig Rawle, Tom Rawle and Paris Martin. Honorary pallbearer was Jonathan Van Den Biggelarr.
Eddy was born Dec. 6, 1950, in Decatur to Billy Gene and Hazel Irene (Taylor) Grundy. He married Cindy Ellen Jones Nov. 15, 1982, in Decatur. Eddy was a Baptist and worked as a mechanic for more than 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bobby Grundy.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cindy Grundy of Decatur; son Shawn Grundy and wife, Brenda, of Decatur; daughters Falon Grundy of Haltom City and Nicole McGar and husband, Brandon, of Decatur; son Phillip Grundy of Clinton, Okla.; grandchildren London Grundy, Hunter Grundy, Hadley Belle McGar and Mason Dunton; sister Billie Rawle of Decatur; and extended family members and friends.
