Dale Edward Gilliam Jr., 57, of Mountain View, Okla., died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Dallas.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with Nolan Warner officiating.
Dale was born May 12, 1957, in Tyler to Dale Edward Sr. and Janice (Shelton) Gilliam. He married Diane Looney March 20, 1991, and they were married 18 years until her passing in 2009. Dale was in law enforcement and served in the U.S. Air Force as a law enforcement specialist. He received the Air Force good conduct medal and longevity service award.
He was preceded in death by his father and his wife.
Survivors include his son, Dale Gilliam III and wife, Rachel, of Dallas; daughter Dawn Keller and husband, Thomas, of Decatur; son Denton Gilliam and wife, Dana, of Paradise; grandson Cameron Keller of Decatur; his mother, Janice Mulanax of Fort Worth; brothers Glen Gilliam and wife, Tracie, Barry Dunn and wife, Margie, and Gene Gilliam and wife, Amy; sisters Stacie Debellis and husband, Mike, and Sylvia Hallerman and husband, Clint; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
