Clara Mae Moore

Clara Mae Moore, 86, a retired seamstress, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Cottondale Cemetery with Pastor Clyde Hess officiating. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Clara was born July 13, 1928, in Dante, Va., to Emmitt and America (Clark) Hess. She married C.P. Moore in Fort Worth, and he preceded her in death along with her parents; four brothers; a sister; and grandson Mark Hughes.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Shields and husband, Jerry, of Paradise, Linda Simpson and husband, Robert, of Haslet, and Sharon Davis of Haltom City; sons Don Hughes and wife, Mary, of Springtown, Jerry Hughes and wife, Jo Ann, of Rhome, Wayne Hughes and wife, Madelyn, of Boyd, and Ricky Hughes of Denton; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
