Christopher Michael Waskom

Christopher Michael Waskom, 41, of Slidell, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in Decatur.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Open Range Cowboy Church in Krum with Ritch Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Slidell Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jay Waskom, Johnny Waskom, Trent Strickland, Bert Smith, Chris Vestal and Mike Eoff.

Christopher was born Dec. 29, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to the Rev. Carl Sr. and Joyce (Harris) Waskom. He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Lacy Diane Smith July 30, 2011, in Slidell. He was a master plumber and the owner of Smalltown Plumbing.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Lacy Waskom of Slidell; daughters Lizzy Waskom and Maddi Waskom of Decatur; sons Chase Waskom of Decatur and Dustie Fennell, Rusty Fennell and Ruston Fennell, all of Slidell; his mother, Joyce Waskom of Graham; brothers Ricky Waskom of McKinney and Jay Waskom of Wheeler; sister Wanda Chormicle of Austin; and other family members and friends.
