Silver Alert issued for Bridgeport resident

A silver alert has been issued for Bridgeport resident Benisio Davila, 83.
He went missing Friday, March 7, 2014 around 3:30 p.m. He was last seen in a white Toyota Matrix with Texas plate number CK5P811 and the 5-5, 157-pound man was wearing a ref Polo shirt with black and red stripes and blue jeans.
“From what we understand, he was en route to a local business and has not been seen since,” said Officer Nicolas Yates of the Bridgeport Police Department.
Davila lives in the 200 block of Owen Street in Bridgeport. Yates said this is not the first occurrence in which Davila went missing. According to the Silver Alert press release, Davila has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.
Yates said there is a fear that he “may not be able to adequately care for himself.”
Davila’s family, which lives in Bridgeport, reported him missing Friday. The Silver Alert was issued Saturday. As of 3:20 p.m., Yates said there were no leads to Davila’s whereabouts.
“We’ve exhausted our leads and there’s no way to track him,” Yates said. “There was no belief that he was leaving town. So no one is sure what direction he may have been headed.”
Anyone with information regarding the missing senior citizen should contact the Bridgeport Police Department at 940-683-3430 or a local law enforcement.
