WATERING RESTRICTIONS ON HORIZON – Stage one water restrictions will begin Monday, June 3 in the City of Bridgeport as part of the city’s drought contingency plan. These water restrictions are mandatory and recommended by the Tarrant Regional Water District. Watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems is limited to two days a week. Residential addresses ending in even numbers may water on Wednesdays or Saturdays. Residential addresses ending in odd numbers may water on Thursdays and Sundays. All nonresidential locations may water on Tuesdays and Fridays. Watering must be done between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. Watering may be done up to two hours a day by handheld hose or drip irrigation system to water foundations and new shrubs and trees. NORTHWEST SCHOOL BOARD – The Northwest School Board will discuss a long-range technology plan and review budget requests for the upcoming school year during its meeting at 7 tonight. The meeting is delayed a day due to the Memorial Day holiday. After swearing in elected officials, the board will be reorganized by electing officers and appointing various representatives. Trustees will also name a principal for each O.A. Peterson and Haslet elementary schools; discuss naming Unum the district’s long-term disability provider; and hear a budget update and reports on the district’s safety and security audit, staff survey and April financials and investment. The meeting will be held in the NISD Administration Building Board Room, 2001 Texan Dr., in Fort Worth.

CHAMBER GARAGE SALE – The Paradise Chamber of Commerce will have a garage sale fundraiser 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Paradise Event Center, 3074 Texas 114. Items include desks, file cabinets, coffee tables, a couch and chairs.

TOURNAMENT SPONSORSHIPS – Organizers of the Bridgeport Education Foundation Golf Tournament seek sponsors. Levels include hole sponsor for $150; A+ for $600, which includes a team, a hole sponsorship, lunch, cart, mulligan, large print on the tournament banner and a listing on the thank you ad; or Honors List for $1,000, which includes two teams, a hole sponsorship, lunch, cart, mulligan, bold large print on the tournament banner and a listing on the thank you ad.

QUARTER AUCTION – A quarter auction benefiting Wise Area Relief Mission is 6-8 tonight at Bridgeport Community Center. Entry fee is $2, and items cost only a few quarters. VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT – The Bump Set Spike for Little Tikes Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament is Saturday at the Chico gym. The first 15 teams with paid registration will be entered. Cost is $120 per team. The tournament is double elimination, and the winning team receives double their money. The event is a fundraiser for new Little Tikes playground equipment. SERVICES for Geraldine Brewer Jordan, 67; Curtis Bryce Browning, 66; and Emma Swindell, 77, all of Boyd, are pending at Christian-Hawkins.
