POSSE HAS MOVED – The Wise County Sheriff’s Posse overnight removed their locks from the buildings at the local fairgrounds and moved from the property. The electronic sign near the front entrance says to visit wcsposse.com for more information, but the website does not indicate where the group is now based. County commissioners had given the Posse a Dec. 1 deadline to turn in the keys and the schedule book. As of Monday morning, the group had turned nothing over to the county, and in the commissioners meeting, Precinct 1 Commissioner Danny White instructed Public Works Administrator Tom Goode to cut the locks. “Take their locks off and put ours on,” he said. “I don’t think we should delay it.” After being notified the locks would be cut, Posse members removed them Monday night.
