BOARD DISCUSSES AG PROJECT CENTER – Continuing their discussion that began at last month’s meeting, the Decatur School Board Monday agreed to seek specific cost estimates for a new agriculture project center for the high school. The new facility is estimated to cost $750,000-$800,000 to build, but plans need to be drawn up with specifications in order to get a more accurate number. The current facility is full, and in some cases more than one animal is housed in a pen. The board has not yet approved moving forward with the construction of the facility, but the item is expected to be brought for board consideration at a future meeting.
