SLIM MARGIN – Chico superintendent Mike Jones was given a contract extension, but the vote was close, 4-3. Trustees G.A. Buckner, Pancho Redwine and Mark Tate voted against the motion Monday, which extends Jones’s contract through the 2015-2016 school year. Trustees deferred determining his salary to the summer, when they prepare the upcoming year’s budget. The board also accepted the resignation of high school principal Gerald “Rosie” Rosebure, effective Dec. 21.
