No explosive devices were found Tuesday at the Devon Energy Plant west of Bridgeport on U.S. 380. A thorough search was conducted, and the scene was cleared about 3 p.m., according to a press release from the Wise County Sheriff’s Office. Although law enforcement officials believed there was never a threat to public safety, U.S. 380 was closed most of the day between Farm Road 1658 and County Road 3504 while investigators searched the plant. The bomb threat was reported about 8:40 a.m., and the investigation is ongoing.
