Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 380 in Bridgeport just before 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Bridgeport Police Chief Randy Singleton said a Ford Explorer was traveling westbound in the 1200 block of U.S. 380 when it was hit on the driver side by a Dodge pickup that was attempting to cross 380 at Lawdwin Avenue.
The impact flipped the Explorer on its side, and it slid about 75 feet down 380, stopping just west of the first entrance to the Brookshire’s parking lot.
The driver of the pickup, a 21-year-old male, and his daughter, almost 2 years old, were not injured.
The front seat passenger in the Explorer, a 47-year-old male was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, and a 47-year-old woman who was driving the Explorer was transported to Wise Regional Health System. A 7-year-old female passenger was transported to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth and a 13-year-old boy was uninjured.
Bridgeport Police had not released the names of those involved as of 1 a.m. Saturday.
