1 injured in U.S. 380 wreck

A tire blowout caused a small dump truck to crash on U.S. 380 east of Decatur just before 8 a.m. Tuesday. Department of Public Safety Trooper Bobby Marquez said Roque Longoria Juarez, 47, of Dallas was westbound on U.S. 380 when a front tire blew about a mile east of County Road 2315. Juarez lost control of the older-model dump truck and it flipped onto its side. Juarez was able to  crawl out of the vehicle on his own. Marquez said Juarez did not appear to be seriously injured, but he was transported to Wise Regional Health System in Decatur to be checked out.

  1. So thankful that highway has been widened. This could have been much worse involving other drivers if it had still been 2 lanes.
