Valley View stops Chico

By Clay Corbett | Published Saturday, December 21, 2013

Chico got off to a bad start Tuesday and couldn’t recover falling to Valley View, 62-51.

The Dragons were only able to muster two first-quarter points.

“We came out not ready to play,” Chico coach Chad Woodard said. “We can’t keep having slow starts and expect to stay in any game.

“Defensively we are not where we need to be. The next few weeks are huge. Our attitude is getting better, and with that we should improve.”

Chris Gilmore led the Dragon attack with 15, and Kalan Johnson had 11. Hagen Davis finished with 10.
